About Us... Our goal : MedicalNotes.com was established to improve efficiency, reduce the cost of medical records management in the multi-physician office, and to facilitate easy, confidential sharing of medical records between primary and referring practices. Kent S Kapitan, MD President As President of MedicalNotes.com, Dr. Kent Kapitan is responsible for the vision and direction of the company and establishing the clinical foundation for our services. With fifteen years of experience in the private practice of pulmonary and critical care medicine, Dr. Kapitan knows the needs of the practicing physician, and the importance of easy availability of the medical record to all physicians participating in the care of any given patient. He also knows the importance of developing simple tools that will help physicians rediscover the joy of practicing medicine, a joy that has been diminished by increasing paperwork. Dr Kapitan has overseen the development of our software and uses it in his practice. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in 1978, was a faculty member of the University of California, San Diego, and a Clinical Investigator of the National Institutes of Health. He was in private practice for fifteen years before returning to academic medicine.
